Brand power and reliability, MBI the choice for W&S Demolition.

The work continues for W&S Demolition to clear the 110 Acre Aylesford Papermill site in Kent. With 70% of the buildings down and cleared, work has started on the main Paper Mill Plants which are constructed of large reinforced concrete beam sections.

Inmalo have Supplied a Mantovanibenne CR40R hydraulic cracker to tackle this part of the demolition project. The 4,900 kg tool with inbuilt Rebar cutters is no lightweight tool. With its 1,350mm Jaw opening and huge power to match, this 2.8m tall hydraulic cracker has been fitted to the Komatsu PC490 excavator capable of handling it easily at full reach.

Derren (Del) Monk, W&S’s chief operator, commented, “The CR40R is extremely powerful and proving very effective at this stage of the demolition project. Inmalo have supplied another powerful and reliable attachment which is perfect for the primary demolition work we are currently undertaking. Most of the frame of the structure is reinforced concrete beams with sections of 1,000mm x 800mm thick. The Cracker has no problem in quickly demolishing these sections and dealing with the rebar.”

Working in conjunction with an MBI RP40-IT Pulveriser to provide both primary and secondary demolition, the CR40R is well matched, feeding the RP40 as debris falls for clearance, further crushing and sorting.
